We try hard to get every verse, meaning and date right, and we want to know when we have not.

How to report a mistake

On text and meaning pages, use the "Report an error" box near the end of the page; for any other page, email us. Tell us what is wrong and, if you can, where you have seen it differently (for example a printed edition or your family's panchang). You can leave contact details if you would like a reply; they are optional.

What happens next

• A reported error in a festival or vrat date is treated as urgent. If it cannot be resolved within a day, the date is held (taken off the page) until it is.
• A reported error in a verse text is checked against the sources the text was compared with, and against any edition you point us to. A verse is changed only when the evidence supports it, and the reason is recorded.
• Meanings and descriptions are corrected when they misstate the plain sense of a line or a fact.
